At RAM we don't just drill our chambers. This is the normal practice of manufacturers however it causes the pellet to engage the rifling tilted and leads to damage and uneven engraving of the skirt. We use custom made chamber reamers made for us by Manson Precision. This allows the pellet to smoothly and squarely engage the throat which is formed at the correct 1 1/2 deg leade angle. The science is simple. if the projectile starts straight and leaves straight, it will fly straight.
